Download connector?

My new BS2 project isn't doing anything. I'd like to add a programming port, using a regular 3-pin header on the board, and a DB9 adaptor. Basically, I need a servo plug hooked up to a DB9 connector, so I can plug it into my serial cable to download and troubleshoot.
I'm assuming 3 pins will be enough; will they? Seems to me I need to hook up Sin, Sout and ATN. Am I forgetting any? What pins do they go to?

    Hello,

If you look in the BASIC Stamp Syntax and Reference Guide the connections between the BASIC Stamp Module and PC Serial Port are shown. You will actually need 4 lines, plus loopback on 6 and 7. I hope this helps. Take care.

Yup, but you'll need a ground wire -- so that's 4 wires. AND you'll need to 'loopback' the DB-9 plugged into your PC so pin·6 goes to pin 7 (or is it 7 to 8?). That's so the IDE can identify that the cable is plugged in.

    Not 7 and 8, Allan - 6 and 7.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift.

That is why they call it the present.
