cannot see stamp....little advice please?

I have a BS2 and a board of education-USB. I run B.S editor v 2.3.3 and drop a program in (program is demo program for RFID door project). attach 9v battery and insert USB. put stamp in and then click run. I get an error message- No Basic Stamps Found

what am i doing wrong?

    Did you install the USB drivers BEFORE connecting the BOE-USB? Because the 'default' USB drivers don't work with the FTDI chipset in the BOE-USB board.

    try all of the usuals different battery, different cable different usb port. different computer. try and narrow down the possibilities.

    I had the same problem too! I am not sure why it went away. What I think it was? My new lap top took a couple days for the new updates to arrive.

    Also, did you do the excersise "Hello Wold"

    One more hard lesson I learned. Close the debug window before unplugging USB and also turn the switch off on the board before unplugging.

    so if the usual USB drivers dont work, where do I d/l the driver I need? is it just a free download on the parallax site? if so I must have missed it.

    thanks paul snr, I have the driver but it still says no stamp found. Larry, can you run me through the "hello world" sequence please? and be sure to use small words as though talking to an idiot. You mention a switch, the only switch I find is at the position marked "0". Is this off?
