Appmod devices on the Professional Development Board

I can't seem to find this via search.· I have a few Appmod devices.· Are these only usable in Parallax boards that have an appmod header. I'm building something, and when it came time to add the EB500, I realized there was no place on the Professional Development Board to plug it in....

thanks to anyone who has an answer....

Why don't you plug it into the breadboard and wire up the wires the right way.· Wait, the pin spacing might make keeping each pin isolated impossible.· Maybe you could attatch servo/lcd connectors to the pins on the eb500 that you need, and plug the other end into the breadboard.· Disregard the ground, +5V and sig.· Don't plug them into the servo headers (if there on any?).· I hope this is clear enough.· Basically, this extends the reach of the pins so they can be separated.

well, if your going to keep using boards that have male headers on them, check the web for female headers. solder solid hookup wire to the female headers and use the other end of the wires to plug into breadboards.

makes this kind of prototyping a whole lot easier and more fun. 8 )

    Hello,

Using the breadboard would not be possible with an AppMod device because the two rows of pins are at .100” spacing and would effectively short them together. AppMods were designed to reduce space and improve simplicity on the BOE. The only option on the PDB is to purchase some of our pluggable wire (M-F) and connect the desired pins directly into the breadboard and/or VDD/VSS connections. Take care.
