No prize fairy for Javelin?
Looks like the SX just got it...anyways just wondering, seems to me like Javelin is going to be extinct soon. I recall not seeing it in the Parallax catalog last time I checked, and this section of the forums has slowed to a crawl.
I am surprised that the Javelin never caught on like the Propeller: SPIN and Java both support objects, have online libraries (obex vs the Yahoo group), have some degree of parallel processing (8 cogs vs up to 6 Virtual Peripherals), but the prop can be programmed in assembly, unlike the Javelin. Perhaps the Javelin's 7x higher price is also factor.

I'm new to the propeller!

There are no foreseeable plans to discontinue the Javelin. Its missing from the catalog was an oversight. It should have been in there.

What is Parallax doing to enhance & extend the Javelin stamp development board?
Nothing at the moment. We don't have any plans at the moment to further improve the Javelin product line, but you can count on it being available as-is for the foreseeable future. The only thing that could force obsolescence would be a total redesign spurred by a component end-of-life. We've recently taken the module through a strenuous transition to RoHS lead-free compliance which involved many component and manufacturing changes.
