Servo balancing question

Friends:

Doing the BoeBot exercises (pg 81 filling out the chart), I find that at full speed ahead (P13 850 and P12 650), the Bot tends to curve softly to the left over 5 feet. Is there any way to balance the servos so this instruction will cause it to track straight?

Thanks amigos - Migs

Yes, adjust the left "pulsout" value and experiment.

Sadly, this aspect of Servo's is not standardized, and varies from servo to servo. Experimentation will let you improve your code, though.

And, it varies by voltage between servos. With our Parallax servos, you can often solve this problem with a high-speed "full-throttle" approach using PULSOUT values of 500 and 1000.

Thank you all. I'm off to experiment!

Hey Ken: What a cool company you have! At 47 I'm learning microcontrolers thanks to the BS2 and the wonderful tutorials and documentation. Think of how you have empowered so many people like me. You should feel very good about this.

    Thanks! -Migs
