PROTEUS VSM for BASIC Stamp

Greetings,

I am currently experiencing two problems and·would be thankful for·some assistance.

I am using a PC (laptop)·loaded with WinXP (home edition).

[Question #1]

From time to time·I load the Parallax CD to check out some documentation. Afterwards, whenever I try to load·the PBASIC Editor (v. 2.3.1) I get the following error:

|
[Error Box]
|
|
|········· Title Bar ----> Stampw.exe - No Disk
|········· Body
> There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into Drive D:.
|········· Buttons ---->· [Cancel] ·[Try Again] ·[Continue]
|
|
|

[Actions Taken and Results]

Hitting [Cancel]·causes the error to just refresh itself.
Hitting [Cancel] a second time, causes the editor to start normally.

Hitting [Try] Again Causes the error to refresh itself no matter how many times it is clicked.

Hitting [Continue] causes the error message to refresh itself.
Hitting [Continue] a second time, causes the editor to start norally.

If I restart my system, the editor loads without issue.

Is there someway to fix this, short of uninstalling/reinstalling the editor?

[Question #2]

I would like to download the *PROTEUS VSM for BASIC Stamp* software, but the actual .exe seems to be rather elusive. I do remember seeing some demo program listed, but this is not the same, and it says so on the site. The way I understood it, The program would be available free for home/personal use and would only provide usage for the BS2 (which is ok for me as that is what I'm using anyway).

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my situation.

-Dominic

    Dominic, I've had this problem before, it is because microsoft changed something that Parallax would have to do a major rewrite for. The probem is you probably had some kind of memory stick plugged in at the time and now you don,t. My fix was to stick the memory stick back in and that got rid of it. Take care, Dave

    Thanks, ratronic.

    I reinstalled the software, and it seems to have overridden the problem.

    Best,
    Dominic
