Any R/C Airplane Pilots in the group?
Well ladies and gentlemen,
It is the culmination of one man's dream and the efforts of those that know how to make dreams happen.......
·
Not to bore you, but if you fly r/c airplanes you might be familiar with the parkzone brand of electric park fliers.· Although not very sophisticated airplanes, they do fly well and have some fun attachments that can be connected to the plane via it’s xport (parkzone proprietary connection). There have been a few products/ hacks that have allowed the advanced modeler the ability to connect the parkzone xport devices to the standard r/c airplane equipment, but not until now has it been done the right way….
I have been able to utilize the sx28 to create an interface to create exciting and challenge game play between owners of regular r/c aircraft.·
Enter the "AirCommander"
I want to thank the forum for helping me.· Directing me to bits of code (and coders), board houses and the procurement of parts for this project.
·
·see the instruction manual below.

Never give up when things go wrong.
I fly the Stryker F27C from ParkZone. After I got the hang of an 80 mph LiPo-powered plane with 20 minutes of battery life I realized that my interest in glow fuel power was a thing of the past. I'm amazed at what they can sell for sub-$300 in R/C.
Can you tell us how "Air Commander" works with the SX28?

Ken,
I was in the hobby over 12 years ago and had glow. Messy, messy, messy. about 5 years ago i found electric and swore that i will never go back. I fly a little 16 inch wing that does 90+ with a homemade brushless motor. Size and speed make it seem much faster.

do you fly and do you have a sonic combat module? I would love to send you a sample product for you to take to the field and test out with the other guys that have the park zone planes.

· I did the programming for Brian. There is an SX28 on the back of the module.
· With his permission, I can post an overall description of how it works.
· Let me know Brian...
P.S. You might want to make a schematic available to those who might want to "hack" the air-commander. Just a thought...
Bean.
