Remote programming the Javelin using ezl 200F

has anyone successfully programming the Javelin over a LAN usinig the ezl 200F?

With such a device I could see latnecy being an issue. The timing of the signals for programming is very strict and the inherent latnecy in such a device would likely cause problems.

If you already own that hardware, you could try. Programming the javelin
via USB also introduces some latency, (it is advised to set the usb latency to
minimal), but that latency is apparently within limits, because we can succesfully
program the javelin via USB. The LAN latency may also·be within limits.
If unsuccesful, the javelin ide program will throw a serial port timeout error.
If you do not own that hardware yet, you can try com2tcp as an alternative.

com2tcp is a free tcp redirector for windows that can be used to access
a serial port on a remote machine. It is part of the com0com project.

That would also introduce the LAN latency.
If·you can succesfully program the javelin using com2tcp on a LAN,
chances are the ezl 200F can be used. Programming across the internet,
via your provider, is unlikely to be succesful.
