What do I need to change out my servos for r/c motors?

All I want to do is swap my two servos on my BOE for a couple of r/c motors. I was told I need a ' motor controller' and a 'servo controller'. Now I don't know what these things are, I'm looking through the site right now at some of this stuff. But for simplisity, as well as price, what do I need? Now r/c motors require r/c batteries (duh..) but·can I just plug in a r/c battery into the board, or do I need something else?

First off, what do you mean by "r/c motor"? Do you have a part number or web page for these motors? This would help.

no. sorry just like a, well r/c car motor. uhm, I the kind you buy in a hobby shop for race cars. You use a 7.2 ( 2800 mAh battery I think.

I'd use the R/C battery for JUST the motors and maybe drive it with a Motormind B Controller·or HB25 Controller for the MOTOR.· You should not need a SERVO as well for the motors if you use the MotorMind since it does not get·controlled like a servo.

The HB25 uses servo input for control. If you use the HB 25, the + lead from the battery goes to VIN and GND to GND on the HB25, BOE still runs on it's own battery and the two devices share a common ground through the servo connection.

There's nothing like a new idea and a warm soldering iron.

FYI I am starting a project using a combination of the pwmpal (for pwm generation) and an H bridge IC. When i get the circuit completed I post a picture. If you are interested I can post a schematic.
