Unable to communicate with BASIC Stamps

Hi,

I have some trouble to communicate with BOE-Bot, with BS2 Rev J

When I try to run BASIC Stamps, the message "No BASIC Stamps found" appear in BASIC Stamp Editor. The "Loopback" and "Echo" cells are set to Yes, but "Device Type" and "Version" are empty.

I try both Usbto232, and direct connection using com cable, but no one works...

I tried reset botton, unplug power cable, nothing work...

Any Idea ?

Ps: Sorry for "bad english", I d'ont speak english very well.

The Stamp is not running for some reason. Check your power supply and the power connections. Make sure the Stamp module is plugged in properly. If you have a voltmeter, check that the supply voltage is correct and that the output of the regulator is 5V.

You will get the Loopback and the Echo showing as Yes even if the Stamp has no power or is broken somehow as long as the com cable and some connections on the BOE are intact.

The Device Type and Version information require that the Stamp actively communicate with the PC.

Check power Green light should be on, Make sure the com port you are using is recognized by your OS and is the one you are using in your program.

    Hi,

    Thank for your answer !!

That was it, the led was on, but battery voltage seems to be too low for BASIC Stamps, I changed battery. That work fine ! tongue.gif

    Thanks again !
