PS/2 Keyboard Jack

Does anyone have a part #/source for a PS/2 keyboard (or mouse) jack such as those used on the Propeller Demo board?

I'm working on a custom project for Propeller that needs a keyboard input.· Digikey has one with two jacks and a vga output but that's overkill for what I'm doing.

Thanks!

    Chuck,

Here's a number for a part which fit the Parallax ProtoBoard.

From Mouser, #161-2206, a Kobiconn Mini-DIN jack. Fit the pcb very well.

Hopefully the same footprint as the Demo board. Would assume it is standard footprint. At least will give you a guide.

Here is the Mouser part number:

    Mouser 571-74180-1

They have no minimum if you order on line.

That is why they call it the present.

Thanks! My problem was that I didn't know what that connector was called! Once I looked under mini-din I found several.

Thanks again for the quick replies!

I also plead ignorance that PS/2 wasn't the name they go by. Took me quite a while searching until some when it was also referred to by Mini-DIN. Doh! yeah.gif

Should have asked me - I think you know what DIN stands for smile.gif

Being a "re-use" persons, I like the very cheap surplus harnesses earlier used in desktop PCs; they are sold with sub-D and mini-DIN connecters of many kinds for generally less than a connector alone. The best thing is they have short wires ending in a board connector - very handy. But don't know how the situation is in the US...
