Hardwiring a BS2 Project and its power supply

Hello,
I'm looking to hardwire my BS2 project. I have a my design worked out on the BoE and am ready to move it to a proto board. What I'm not sure of is the BS2 module. Is there somewhere I can find a schematic for 9V power source to power the BS2 and my project? Do I have to get a set of capacitors and a 5V regulator or can I just have it connect to the proper pins on the BS2?
Any help would be awesome thanks!

There's nothing like a new idea and a warm soldering iron.

I'm new the discussion forum and will remember to post a subject next time.
I did read the schematic of the BS2 but was unsure if it could handle a 9V DC directly.
Thanks again.
