Hardwiring a BS2 Project and its power supply

Hello,

I'm looking to hardwire my BS2 project. I have a my design worked out on the BoE and am ready to move it to a proto board. What I'm not sure of is the BS2 module. Is there somewhere I can find a schematic for 9V power source to power the BS2 and my project? Do I have to get a set of capacitors and a 5V regulator or can I just have it connect to the proper pins on the BS2?

Any help would be awesome thanks!

addendum: the 9V power source is a 9V battery.

Apply +9 V to the VIN pin on the STAMP.· The power regulator on board will do the rest.· There is a stamp schematic in the document download section of the parallax site.· You *do* want to read it.

There's nothing like a new idea and a warm soldering iron.

As you may notice in the Basic Stamp manual, the regulator on the Stamp module can supply at most about 50ma of which about 3ma is needed for the Stamp itself. If your project needs more than that, you will need to build an external +5V regulator just like (or similar to) the one on the BoE.

Thank you both for the quick response.
I'm new the discussion forum and will remember to post a subject next time.

I did read the schematic of the BS2 but was unsure if it could handle a 9V DC directly.

    Thanks again.
