All,
I would like to start working with the EB500 Bluetooth Transeiver AppMod.· My current needs are extremely basic (no pun intended).· Can somebody please direct me to some sample code for·pairing and commmunicating·between the·EB500·and a cell phone?· I have looked through the EB500 User Manual and did find some sample code for·pairing/communicating between the EB500 and a Pocket PC 2003 device.· I am not sure whether this code will work with a cell phone.· Also, I have not yet purchased the EB500, so I have not yet had an opportunity to tinker with it.· Also, is it easy to interface the EB500 with a PropStick rather than a BS2?
I really want to be able to accomplish the following tasks:
TIA,

I really want to be able to accomplish the following tasks:
- pair the EB500 with a cell phone
- use the BS2 or·PropStick·to determine if the cell phone is ringing based upon I/O from the EB500
TIA,

Making the connection to the Cell Phone is the easy part. There are several threads on these forums about that. The problem comes when you want to actually have a conversation with the phone. To date I have not seen one person who has the protocol/communication specifications for their Cell Phone, which is what usually prompts them to post here. The EB500 makes a connection based on the MAC Address of the target device. Your Cell Phone must be configured to accept this connection, but that is only ½ the equation. At that point you have to know what to say that the Cell Phone will understand. Take care.
