Hi All,

I would like to check some human body vital signs but I do not have any ideas on what sensors could be used.

Does anyone knows what kind of sensors I could use?

many thanks.

    jmbertoncelli,

·· This idea may be a little far fetched, but it may also generate some interest in this new technology. Take a look at the two attachments.

    A few ideas:
·1. Heart rate - Sensor can be microphone or skin electrodes (like EKG), or·pulse oximeter
·2. Oxygen level in blood - Pulse oximeter

#2 is very challenging.· Both require some analog electronics to make the signals appropriate for the stamp.

Hope I interpreted your question correctly.·

    1) Body temperature ... you can use pretty much any temperature sensor that includes the body temperature range, but accuracy is important ... you want 1/10 degree accuracy.
    2) Respiratory rate you can derive from the pulse oximeter data which measures transmission of red light through a finger. As the heart contracts, the blood volume in the fingertip increases and less light gets through. When you inhale, the blood volume in the fingertip doesn't increase as much.
