Hey Everyone,

Saw this tonight on Mythbusters. Pretty neat. It is a robotic hand made from motorcycle chain.

I saw that a while back. It is such a simple and elegant solution. I would really like to see that on a humanoid!

That is so cool. And simple. It looks like the 'laces' act to contract the finger, while a flat red rubber band down the outside acts to 'extend' the finger.

THAT is cool! But, that would be hard to mount on a humanoid because did you see all the "muscles"in the "arm" that it took to move the fingers. There would be no room left for arm "muscles".

    Thanks Humanoido,

That is a really cool video. Only one of the two hands is within my grasp though. (pun completely intended) smilewinkgrin.gif

The first time I saw this at work was about twenty years ago, when I purchased a novalty back scratcher for about five dollars. You squeezed the handle and the fingers curled the same way, using the same type of mechanism.
