There are three unused pins on the Spin 24-pin module, 1,2,3.

Is it possilbe to wire these to three unused i/o pins on the popeller chip?

cheers,

Please look at the documentation for the Spin Stamp. They are intended for use as a serial port in place of the standard Stamp programming port. Unfortunately, the voltages used (+3.3V particularly) are not strictly compatible with RS232 and some serial ports don't work with them. I had no problem using them with a Keyspan High Speed USB to Serial Adapter, but Parallax didn't want to have to support this use.

You'll see that pin 3 is already connected to a Propeller pin (with a series resistor). Pin 1 is intended as a serial output and pin 2 is intended as a serial input (with echo to the output).

I don't understand why Mike seems somewhat reluctant to give information... The schematic on page 3 of the Propeller Stamp datasheet is crystal clear smile.gif
