does anyone know of another modem to use with the basic stamp
i want to use a microphone to make the sound of the modem audible and then have another pick it up and decode the sound
this is for art porposes so i am trying not to use bluetooth or other wireless comunication

1) Please include a subject in your postings. It helps others understand what you're asking.

2) A Stamp should be able to work with any modem that connects via an RS232 serial port or the logic level equivalent.

3) If you want to connect two modems together, you may need a telephone line simulator to provide a dial tone and loop current.

For your purposes, go on eBay or a surplus equipment site and look for an old style "acoustically coupled" modem. It has a microphone built in to "listen" to the tones coming through the telephone handset.
