Thanks Alberto - customer specified socketed I.C's and 10Amp industrial connectors !!! So this particular P.C.B had to be D40 version of prop ! I have done boards for other applications with surface mount components - that's 27 prop based custom machines of 2 different varieties I have done now (or rather will be when this lot·are fitted)! and couple of other Props in PLC replacement applications - just seems that every problem I have come accross in the last 8-9months is a new home for a prop ! I think I am a 'Propaholic' !

That's interesting; for awhile I thought I was the only person dropping Props into PLC applications. You'll be hearing more about my latest Prop PLC in a few days.

I am doing test equipment for drive systems. Using the ProtoBoard for the first run. lots of EMI around drive systems. Used to be a problem but I haven't seen much of that. Not yet.

I'd be interested in hearing feed back on your drive systems ... ! I have has a few props in noisy environments - no real headaches .
