Check ALL your connections and the values of your components. Make sure you have enough power, if you are using batteries make sure they are fresh. Also, if you type in all caps, it's considered yelling.

If your batteries are not fresh (or if they can't put out much current ... like a 9V battery), when the servos are first turned on ... like when the switch is put in the 2 position, the servos draw enough current to drag the supply voltage below about 4.2V which will cause the Stamp to reset which starts the whole cycle over again.

Servos can draw as much as 1 ampere or more of current initially and some batteries (and some connectors) can't handle that, so you get voltage drops where you don't expect them.

If you have short circuit in the servo connectors or something in that part of the circuit (controlled by switch position 2), your Stamp will behave exactly as you describe. It may not be enough to have fresh batteries. Try disconnecting the servo motors and try again. If the Stamp is recognized in switch position 2, the problem is with one of the servos. If so, try hooking up one servo at a time (and disconnect the others). You may find that one servo causes your problem. You may find that it's the number of servos hooked up that's the problem. You may need a separate power source for the servos, maybe just another battery pack.

Disconnect the servos and put the switch in position 2 and see what happens. If it works hook up one of the servos and try again.

    ahem
PUT DA SWIITHCH ON NUMBA 2 TWOO, THEN TRY TO TURN ON DA BASIK STAMP TOO
THEN MAK SUR DAT da BASIC STAMP AINT IN BAKWRDZ, AND DA RED UND BLK WIRZ MATCH UPT WIT DA CIRCUITZS THAT SAYS BLK UND RED.
