mazes and memory mapping

I would like to use a memory map in a mase. I understand that this is a more difficult way to run a BioBot thru the maze. the idea is to learn about memory mapping. Using a stepper motor to cover 270 rotation of either an IR sourse and detector or a Ping device to·determine corners, taps, ect.
