Question about viewing and compiling files

Newby Question!
I just purchased the Demo board and Education kit and would like to learn how to program the new Propeller chip- it looks to be aweome.
I logged on to the propeller exchange and downloaded an object.
Once I get the object to my PC, how do I view the file?
Can I import the object into the propeller too.
How can I view/ use the object?
