Friends:

I'm looking for prototype boards to move my project of the Board of Education onto its own platform. I would like such board to have a plug for the Stamp such that it is removable some day if necessary. I have looked at the two boards offered by Parallax, but am looking for alternatives. Right now I'm not to where I'd like to fabricate my own.

Anything out there?

As always, thanks amigos! -Migs

The Super Carrier Board is very similar (but not identical) to the Board of Education - and it's about 1/3 the price of the BOE www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=27130

    Hi Forrest:

I looked at the Super carrier board, but do you know of one that is similar to the Board of Education with the vertical slot separating tracks down the middle? It doesnt need to be populated. Where do you (you all too) go hunting for these boards?

The problem I see with the Super Carrier board is that I don't see how I would insert an IC like a time chip into it's proto area. How would I do that?

The Super Carrier Board is designed to insert ICs like a time chip. Vss and Vdd buses are arranged down the middle and the DIP IC is supposed to straddle these buses. Other parts are inserted further out. You'll have to wire short jumpers between the Stamp I/O pin holes and the IC pins, but it's not a big deal.

I need something a lot simpler. Like the basic BOE breadboard but in plain PCB, maybe with a power supply...

    Thanks Mike:

I'll examine the schematic, as the picture isnt very referential. I ordered a few of these anyways, but it should do the trick.

    Thanks!
