Useing my Palm T/X to control relays (Bluetooth)

I want to figure out how to control 4-8 relays using my Palm T/X. But i would need some help, see my computer has a usb bluetooth stick. And i have a BS1 so maybe the Palm could talk to the computer then the computer talks to the BS1 through a USB cabal. Or is it posibal to have the Palm talk to the computer then the computer talk to the parallel port. This also may not even be posibal with a palm, that's why im asking becouse i saw somthing similer can be done with a Pocket PC.

Both my palm (older than a T/X) and my Pocket PC speak serial RS232, so wouldn't Serial direct to BS1 be simpler?

Wouldent that mean i would have to use a serial cable that conects my T/X to the BS1. At least i think that's what RS232 means.

Does thinking of Bluetooth as a wireless serial interface make it any easier?

Wow, sorry, I didn't even know about the ToothPic!

anyway... regardless... you should not have to use your PC as a go between...

The ToothPic would be a good way to go. There is a very nice terminal emulator for the Palm, "Online", that you could use for sending and receiving data for control.

Another option might be to attach the Stamp to the internet via the Parallax PINK and a router. Then you could use the browser on the T|X to control the Stamp.

The seriial port on the recent Palms like the T|X is stunted and peculiar, somewhat difficult to use. That would be a cable interface from the Palm to the Stamp, but it sounds like you want wireless.
