Converting a siren to a PA system

I have a 12V siren that was given to me by my uncle and I thought that I could use it with my most recent project as a sort of PA system. I built a box controlled by an SX28 that counts down and launches a model rocket. I would like to have this siren remotely controlled so that it counts down from 5 to 0. I think all I need is an audio amplifier that will drive the thing and I can use my old MP3 player for the sound output. I just don't know what wattage rating I would need for it.

The siren I have is part number SV/PS5 on this page: http://www.action-electronics.com/speakers.htm

Let me know what you guys think I should use for thin.

If you apply ohm's law, the siren is rated·1300 ma at 12 volts. That would be about 15.5 watts (amps*volts)=watts. The more pressing issue here with that model siren is its frequency response is from 1hz to 4000hz. Thats just barely within the range of the human voice. maybe even a little shy of a male human voice. With the frquency dropping off as it approaches 4000hz, your voice may be attenuated by the siren speaker so much you won't be able to hear it loud enough.

Even 300 to 3000 Hz is adaquate for human voice. It's done all the time with 2 way radio and telephones.
