Has anyone out· there needed to find a new processor to replace and SX52.

What is useful? What is software compatible?

Any success with an SX48 replacement for an SX52?

The SX48 is the same processor (minus 4 I/O pins).

Thanks I am aware of that, I am considering using one of the I/O pins of the Sx48 as a mux signal inorder to recover the same I/O structure used on my application of the SX52. PIN and Software compatibility is a plus. I am looking for a lazier solution than redesigning my boards though I may be stuck. I use every I/O pin of the SX52 in my ap. But without reliable sources of quantites of SX52s it may come to that.

    Art,

A total redesign of the boards may not be necessary if you can live without the 4 I/O pins Bean mentioned. The landing pads for the SX48 fit nice inside the landing pads for the SX52. We actually had a Proto Board that supported both devices so I could demonstrate how we were able to use one design for both chips if you’re interested. Take care.

Seach the internet/ebay. Sometime you can find someone who has a bunch of them for sale (old stock). You will just have to purchase a life-time supply.
