I bought a gps that Parallax offers but can not make it to work, I can see a red light blinking when I go to power it up, it should stop blinking and stay on to confirm that it is connected to a satilite. It continuously blinks, what am I doing wrong or not doing? Thank-You Toby

Please note that weather and atmospheric conditions can affect GPS systems…Also, be sure you have a clear view of the sky in most directions as sometimes the satellites can be closer to the horizon. Also, what is your power supply?

    Hi all,

The Parallax GPS should not be directly attached to the BOE breadboard!

Attach the GPS to P15 (as stated in the BS2 GPS code) via the BOE servo connector and make sure that it is at least a foot away from the BOE.

I had good results indoors (3 to 4 satellites) with the GPS on a window sill with a clear view of the sky.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    TCIII

Make sure you are using a good power source!· The GPS module needs some power.· A less than fully charged battery was my problem.· New battery, problem went away!
