    Crux,

The stamp can receive the serial strings from many different GPS modules.

When you speak of integrating the the devices, what is it you're trying to accomplish?

You could control a device with the GPS data, bearing in mind the GPS needs to be able to see the satellite array in order to compute its location. Secondly, there is a limit as to the accuracy of any point calculated by the GPS. If you need accuracy to a few centimeters, you will be disappointed by most common GPS units. If you need accuracy to several meters, you will likely be satisfied. There are technolgies to improve the accuracy and repeatability, such as differential GPS.

    Cheers,

I am planning to make a GPS controlled boat,a small one like those typical RC boats. i dont have an idea since im still a newby to this topic.

I would like to create a remote device that will direct the boat through GPS,I dont really care about accuracy as long as its just a few centimeters..

I would like it also to have the capability to send data and i think it may not be possible through GPS cuz from wat i hav read it has a string formats but i jus wud like to confirm it with you guys

Assuming there's a direct line of sight between your GPS receiver and at least 3 satellites, positional accuracy is less than 15 meters. If WAAS is available in your area, this is reduced to 3 meters. If you need more info, read the GPS wiki at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Positioning_System

    Crux,

This thread should help you. He used a Garmin, but the Parallax unit would be the same.

If the project is payload sensitive, consider using GPS OEMs like GPS 15H which weighs 15 grams cool.gif
