how can i attach an ultrasonic sensor to a sumo bot the bread board is facing to the right/left so if i attach the US sensor to the bread board it will face the wrong direction but if i place it forward it'll short circuit i know the boe-bot faces forward but if i can get the US to work the way i want could i use 2 US sensors at the same time or would it read the wrong sound frequency

You can physically mount the sensor however you wish, then use a 3-pin header and extension cable to make the board connection. Here's the cable/header:

·Yes, you can use more than one Ping))) sensor on the same robot,·but put a pause in between·their triggers so·they don't pick up each other's echoes.·20ms should be·plenty, it might not be a problem·if they are facing opposite directions depending on the environment.

The Stamps in Class book Smart Sensors is a free download and has a couple of chapters about the Ping)))

I do not own a sumo bot, but based on the picture and documentation it seems that the sumobot wasn't meant to have an ultrasonic sensor, so you would have to make/find+buy a mount for it.
