USB Oscilloscope program locking up

Hope someone here can help me....

I have downloaded and tried both versions of the USB Oscilloscope program, and both end up locking up my computer and not responding.

I have a two year old HP computer using Windows XP.

Has anyone else had this problem.....or know what is posible wrong?

I can't help you, I'm running 2000. I'm sure you've check the first thing: any program that might be using the same port.

After that, check to make sure you are using the right drivers. Overall, I think that the old version of the Oscilloscope is very stable. Sometimes on start up, I have to click the trigger mode/run button a couple of times to see a trace.

Thanks for the tip Craig....I tried plugging into another USB port and now it works!

I am an old (59) Engineer, but I just can't keep up with all these changes to Windows. I usually call my son for help

on drivers and Smile, but I am far from home.

I think I had a conflict with something else I might have installed earlier on the same USB port. I deleted the camera that I used to plug in there, and

I just got lucky I guess.
