Brownout detection in BS2p40 module and OEM chip..

Hello,

I may have missed it somewhere in the documentation but I wanted to find out for sure if the Brownout detection is enabled by default in the BS2p40 OEM chips. If so is it set to 4.2v or lower? If it is set to 4.2v can the OEM chip be ordered with the brownout set to a lower voltage or disabled? I have a project where I want the BS2p40 OEM chip to work at a lower voltage and if the Brownout is set to 4.2v it won't work.

Best Regards,

Robert

I'm pretty sure they are all set to 4.2 volts. As an OEM, I use a special version of the BS2pe chip in my OWL2pe data loggers. It is a BS2pe-40 (instead of -24) and it is set with brownout detect at 2.6 volts instead of 4.2. Send me a PM if that would help you with your project. I think as a general rule, Parallax does not like to have many versions of the chip in circulation.
