Accidentally applied 12 volts to propeller demo board input

Hi,
·Accidentally applied 12 volts to propeller demo board input , sent it to parallax to perform a autopsy. ·They should receive it today, Can’t wait to here the results.····

    When you say input I assume you mean one of the propeller's inputs? The power input will stand 12v fine.

    yes one of the propellers inputs , I think it fried a volatage regulator . It don't seem like it's getting any power now.

    well heres a thought, I'll tell you I messed up. I don't think that I hurt the propeller . I would like to hear from parallax what failed first , the chip or supporting circiuts . Is there somthing wrong with that?

    Just I case anybody was wondering,parallax tested this board and found the 5 volt regulator to be fried.

    Just the 5V regulator? So if they replace that, the board still will work? If true, that's amazing.

    not if you applied 12v to the 5v supply perhaps.

    I applied 12 volts to a input of the propeller,not·to the voltage regulator.·by mistake.



    p.s they won't fix the board,they said they would discont a new board.
