Using stamp to run a AC single phase motor

Anyone can tell me how i can use basic stamp to run this type of motor as i really have no idea how to run it

My motor is AC single phase.

Pls advise me thank.

Best bet is to use a Solid State Relay (search for some). It can take a direct input from the BASIC Stamp, and optically couples to control 120VAC (or higher depending on which you get).

But can i used relay· to control the direction of the motor?· As a lot of site say can only control the on and off only.· Pls advise btw thx u for the reply your reply is valuable to me

Is this a single phase motor (normal house current) or a 3 phase?· You can't reverse the single phase easily (to my knowledge).· A 3 phase can be reversed by reversing any 2 leads.· This would require a pair of SSR's for 2 lines and a single SSR for the last line.

I've seen three-terminal single-phase motors that have a neutral lead and two hot leads. Both hot leads are connected to the mains hot side — but one of them through a capacitor, which introduces a phase shift in its winding. Whichever lead gets the capacitor determines the direction of rotation. Absent the capacitor, though, I suppose this should be considered a multi-phase motor.

Single phase motor direction is determined by how the motor is started.

If its a capacitor start motor, there will be a connection diagram to show which leads to reverse.

A permanent-split capacitor motor will interchange the start and run winding connections.

A small hysteresis motor may be unreversible.
