I just bought a Hydra today. Which books will help?

I'm wondering if in addition to the Hydra manual and the Propeller manual, should I also get one of the "Beginning Assembly..." books.

I am assuming that most of my coding in the beginning will be done with "Spin", but that I will also need to really understand asm in the long run?

I actually own a copy of "Atari Roots, Guide to Atari Assembly Language" for the 6502 chip.

If you read the HYDRA book cover to cover and use the propeller manual as a reference that should do it for you.
