Hi,

Only to know if can I add an antenna to the
Parallax GPS.

Because I need to use the Parallax GPS
module inside a car and many times I would like to
add an antenna to have a very good signal.

Thanks, Joe

    Joe,

Use inside a car is actually covered in the documentation from our website. Have a look at the notes there. Take care.

I've had one in my Jeep now for a couple of months. It works fine. Unless you have to hide the unit, I think you will be better off keeping the unit up by the windshield (well away from the airbags!!!). An over growth of trees, buildings, steep canyons, etc. will be more of a problem than inside the car, unless your putting it under the seat (not a good idea). Having an external antenna won't help in a forest unless you can get the antenna above the trees.

My Parallax 'onboard' GPS gets a lock faster and better than my garmin unit.

    HTH, Chris
