A gravity feed or wheel-feed system won't work for your application? It's far less complicated and much easier to control.

no gravity feed wont work since im trying to pick the bb's off the ground and not push them into the gun, UNLESS you know how to make gravity work in reverse, and the vacuum on the link maybe a bit to big, i just need something small, preferebly not much bigger than the boe bot

Perhaps you'd have a better collection rate if you used a street sweeper concept?

BBs all have the same diameter, right?

Why not use the same system as the golf-ball pick-up machines use?

They have a wide 'drum' made up of discs spaced so that the gap matches the size of the balls.
The drum is rolled over the ground, the balls get lodged between the discs, and as the drum rolls on the balls are lifted up into the machine where you can easily separate them with a 'comb' which sticks in between the discs.

ive tried the sweeper idea but some bb's would be·thrown from the machine if it went to fast, i think i'll go with the drum, i think it should be easier to build than a vacuum

Just out of curiosity, are these steel, lead or copper BB's that you're trying to pick up?

i kind ofgot the golf thing working just need to slow it down some, and i found a fan prop in my bucket o junk and i found a motor to fit, well i had it running at full speed around 10,000 rpm and i put it in a pvc T that was just the right size, but i put it in so that the bb's would come straight at it and before putting it all together i wanted to see if it could even suck up a bb, well i got the motor running, it sounded like a really small jet,(thats what kind of prop it was), and put some bb's in the way, it sucked them up so fast that when the bb's hit the prop, it knock 3 or 4 blades of, now when it revs up it vibrates really bad, now im done ranting
