Just wondering. Why isn't there a J2ME chip?

Hi,

I'm am just starting to explore Java. But was wondering since all the cellphones, pda's, and other mobile gadgets run the JVM, (and allows you to program these divices with J2ME).

Are there chips available that already have the JVM loaded, ready for programming with J2ME?

Why aren't there simple mobile game development kits like this? (I probably don't really know what I'm talking about here, but it seems to me like that would be a very logical thing to do. Have a chip loaded with the JVM, programmed with J2ME (just like in all of our tiny mobile devices), for use in robotics, game dev., and ethernet/internet, etc.?

But, instead I see books and info on the web pertaining to the programming of the actual consumer devices, instead of just a chip (or a chip with some peripherals).

{I had to edit my post here, because I just found chips that are running the JVM.} Sorry.

Could anyone recommend a chip or kit that is suited for robotics, etc. but can be programmed using J2ME?

Thanks.
