ps/2 keyboard emulation with an SX?
Hello everyone.
I have been recently having the idea of making my own arcade cabinet. With this of course comes a control panel, with various joysitcks and switches etc. I was originally going to buy an I-Pac, but because of price and especially limited inputs I would like to try and build something myself instead.
Basically, my question is, has anyone ever used an SX to generate a PS/2 keyboard signal? I can do this myself, I am just curious if it has been done before.
Thanks in advance

I have a (relatively expensive) commercial product that does this, along with a number of customer specified enhancements/modifcations.
Full emulation is quite a bit of work..... the details will get you, but it can be done.

If that's the one you're talking about.
Doesn't look to bad to translate to SX/B.

It seems to me I remember an old article where a guy wanted to create a bunch of switches for his flight simulator program. He took an $10 keyboard and just wired pushbutton switches to the contacts. I though it was a pretty good simple and elegant solution. Maybe not what you are looking for but it sure is a lot cheaper and you will be up and running in an hour.
