connecting a 18V sensor

Hi all,

I want to connect an IR sensor (18Volts) with the BS2
How can i connect it? i think the 18V is too much for the stamp.
Can somebody help me with it?

If the IR sensor is just on/off you can use a transistor or an optoisolator to shift between the two voltages.
