3D Laser Engraving

I know this has nothing to do with Parallax, but thought some of the others that are interested in technology·may find this interesting.

On a recent trip into China I found a company selling this as a service and was simply amazed and was able to capture video of my 3D likeness being engraved.

    Was that in a retail environment? What was the cost ($US)?

    It was at a large shopping center in Shenzhen, China. It was $360 HK (~$45 US).

    They took my picture w/ a special 3D Camera (3 cameras from slightly different angles.
