Hi, today, after a month without working with it, I get my Boe with BS2 to start a new project. After bulding circuit, I've·switched on·power from a DC supply and.... SURPRISE!!! the power· indicator led remained off and the Voltage regulator became very hot in few seconds! I've tried to use a 9V battery instead of DC supply but the problem was the same.
I think (but I'm a beginner) that probably Voltage regulator is broken, someano could give me an idea?
thanks
Paolo

You probably built your circuit with a short circuit. The voltage regulator rarely "breaks". It has several protective mechanisms built into it.

First, disconnect all of your new project so the only thing on the BOE is the Stamp itself, then try again with a 9V battery. The BOE and Stamp will probably work.

Second, check your circuit design for short circuits. As you rebuild it, check again for parts wired backwards, for bad connections. If you can add pieces of your project, one at a time, do so ... and check to make sure that they work before you add the next piece.
