Some Basic 'Stamp PLC' questions
1. Will the Stamp PLC Work okay with the SpinStamp?
2. Will the PLC run at 12v, or only 24v?
3. What is the Max current output of the 8 digital outputs? What voltage do they work at?
4. What voltage do the digital inputs trigger at?
5. What are the PLC's dimensions?
Thanks A lot,
Craig

I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code
People say that if you play Microsoft CD's backwards, you hear satanic things, but that's nothing, because if you play them forwards, they install Windows.
I spent a minute looking at my own code by accident. I was thinking "What the heck is this guy doing?"

I’m going to have to say, “no” on this one…If it were as simple and optical I/O there wouldn’t be any problems, but there are two integrated circuits that are running from 5V which output to the BASIC Stamp. The MAX1270 is optional so that could be omitted, however the 74HC165 Parallel to Serial shift register is a physical part of the system and would be sending serial (SPI) data back to the Stamp Module at 5V levels, and there is no way to include a series resistor to prevent problems. I hope this helps. Take care.

All you really need to handle is the optical isolation and output drivers. That would be pretty straight forward. Take care.
