PINK Board Lockout and FTP

I have been trying to work with·a PINK module to send commands to my BASIC Stamp via a local network.· However, when I set up a username and password for the PINK, I attempted to log in to the module with what I had created, only to be locked out every time I tried.· I'm using the username and password I specified, but still to no avail as an "Unauthorized User" message keeps appearing.· Is there any way to reset the PINK module to factory defaults in an attempt to start all over?· Or what else can be done to remedy this situation?

Additionally, when I attempted to access the FTP server on the PINK module, I was unable to establish a connection using both Internet Explorer or an FTP Client.· Is there anything that needs to be done to ensure a successful connection with the FTP server?· I looked in the manual, but didn't stumble upon any information that made it seem any more difficult than typing in ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Thanks,
Q

    Hello,

On your password issue please contact Tech Support directly via e-mail (support@parallax.com). If you password protect the module the FTP will be protected as well. I know that IE6 had some security updates that made it difficult to connect on the first try to the module. Usually hitting refresh will allow it to connect. On IE7 you have to select a different open under the page menu. I don’t know how other browsers react. Take care.

I had a few strange things at first with my Pink, I found that it would not communicate unless I started off in a particular sequence, since adopting this sequence i now have rock steady comms,The most fundamental thing I found was to always launch the browser via the Launch Webpage button in IP setup as comms couldn't always be guaranteed otherwise.

Regards the password, it may be a case of sending the card back to parallax for resetting.
