Attaching BS2 to a board

On my prototype board I have made a stabilizer for one of my friend remote control planes
But now we want to move it over non-prototyping board(sorry don't know the name of it) so I can still keep my prototyping board and the parts are less likely to come off(especially since it will be flying around)
my friend can solder everything but we don't know how to attach the BS2 chip and the other parts to the board.
I have looked at the OEM chip but i was hoping there was a cheap way
also I have found a thread about making our own BS1 chip but that didn't help that much

Suggest you solder everything on the board EXCEPT the BS2. I doubt the BS2 will go anywhere - considering it's in a 24 pin socket. You could use some hot glue around the edges of the BS2/socket to hold it in place.

Or would it just be better to get the OEM chip?

The OEM version of the BS2 requires several components. If you've already got a BS2, you COULD use a zip-tie to hold it in place (if you can put two holes through your circuit board in the right place).

Hot-glue is also a very nice, and removable, alternative.
