Is there a reason you can't just set your palatte to black and white?

Will that get you 1 bit per pixel, or will it use 2 bits per pixel and only use two of the four colors?

Depends on which driver you are using, most of them are 2 bits, but the 512x384 driver is 1 bit.

    Both methods work.

    Which one?

    The TV or the VGA?

And do you want 1, 2 or 3 bits of black and white?

It's no biggie to post the changes, just let us know what you want.

I want·it to be sent to the tv and in·the mode that takes the least stack I do not know that much about how the data is sent to the TV so I am very thankful to all the people here.

Ok, so it's one bit color then, single buffered at a moderate resolution, say 256x192. That's 6k of ram, plus a few misc longs for the Parallax driver. This does cause problems with text though! Planning to just use the Parallax graphics library? If so, that will work nicely.

That mode will give you about 32 x 24 text. Are you looking for just text, or graphics too?

If you want just text, you won't need much memory at all, even with color, because the TV text driver gets pixels from the character ROM which doesn't take up RAM.

Just use a color palette that is appropriate, use Graphic_Palette.spin in you examples folder to determine the correct values.
