Using Grabber and Ping with Ping Bracket together
Has anyone mounted a Grabber together with·a Ping with the Bracket on a BoeBot?· Obviously the Ping Bracket cannot be mounted in the location given in the instruction since the Grabber is taking up that space.
My goal is to locate and retrieve a small object, such as a soda can,·placed in a random location.

If that method does not work for you - depending upon your application - you could always just skip the Ping))) bracket and mount the sensor directly to the BOE's breadboard.· You would lose the head-turning ability but still retain the Ping))) functionality.
Just brainstorming - good luck with your project!

I hope that helped. Take care.
There are a couple of links that may be useful for scanning for and going to an object in the Boe-Bot + Ping))) Ultrasonic section of the Stamps in Class "Mini Projects" page.
One note on the Scan for and Goto Closest object app: You can get rid of all the polar/cartesian conversions by just going forward a little to get the Boe-Bot's turning center over the center of the Ping))) Distance Sensor's scan before turning to face the object. It'll save code space, variables, and execution time.
P.S. When you've got it sorting colored cylinders, we'd love to see a clip!
