2 questions : MSRS without bluetooth and program a BOE BOT through Java ?
Hello,
I'm a newcomer in the robot's world...
I compared different robots and I'm probably going to buy the BOE BOT.
There are 2 versions, one with the MSRS kit (control the BOE BOT through bluetooth with C#, VB.net...) and a version with only PBASIC...
I would like to know if I can buy the "standard version" and be able to, later, control my BOE BOT with MSRS through an USB cable, so without the need to buy the bluetooth adapter ? In other words, can MSRS be used through a simple USB cable for example ?
Second question I have for you guys : according to you, is it possible to control the BOE BOT through java ? I looked for the answer in the search engine of this forum but didn't find anything to help me... I read some informations about javelin but I don't know if the javelin stamp could be used instead of the basic stamp on the BOE BOT ? (I guess not but ?)
Thanks a lot,
Arnaud

Thanks for your answer. You said "Controlling your Boe-Bot using Microsoft Robotics Studio with a USB cable will be much less expensive than controlling it with USB", I suppose you wanted to say "less expensive than controlling it with bluetooth" ?
Today I own the USB BOE BOT : http://www.parallax.com/detail.asp?product_id=28832 and if I understood what you said well, all what I need to make the bot connect to MRS is the propeller plug, is that ok ?
Thanks,
