problem with hydra cd/ Removing Read-Only**HELP!!

When trying to access the executable program bmp2spin we are unable to take the read-only feature off. This causes us to be unable to run this program and take advantage of its features. We already tried copying the files off the CD and still had no success. Without the function of this program we are unable to take full advantage of the Hydra gaming system. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. The attached file contains a Print Screen of our problem. Thank You.

Click on the Read-only box so it's no longer green. Then click apply. You'll get a dialog, select "this folder, subfolders and files" and then click OK then OK again.

I've done that, but when you close the properties screen and reopen it, the Read-Only property goes back on.

Most likely cause it's on your desktop. Try some other location that is not a system folder, eg. make a new folder for your hydra development under C:\ or something.

I'm sure you probably already did this, but after unchecking read only, be sure to close the dialog using "Close" instead of "Cancel" or the "X". Or just be sure to click "Apply".

Try copying directly from the CD to C:\Hydradev\ etc - not from the desktop. If this won't work, I searched MS KB for read only attribute... (support.microsoft.com - I suggest searching there if you ever have problems with Windows)

Here are a few interesting kb articles I found:

Those are the properties of the folder. If you've done what I said, the actual files within it should be read/write.
