PCA8565 Code for BS2 (I2C)

Does anyone have any information if this will work with a Basic Stamp on a I2C Bus? PCA8565, Philips Semiconductors, Real time clock/calender. If so is there any sample programs?

The Stamps will drive pretty much any I2C slave device. The BS2p series (BS2p/pe/px) have a built-in statement for doing the I2C bus interactions. The other Stamps do not have this built-in support, but there are published subroutines that will work. I don't believe there are any sample programs for this device, but here are some downloadable articles on using I2C devices with Stamp processors:

There is a program for the PCF8583 (linked below). This is is also an RTC and the code may be similar. At least this would give you some ideas on talking to your chip if you compare the two. I hope this helps. Take care.
