Hi am new with SX chips I want to use the internal 4MHZ. Do I have to use an osc crystal if I use the internal 4MHZ options. Please can someone explaine to me what pins i should connect to the SX and what options to set in the SX software / compiler. I have read things about doing this but because I am new at it. I am afraid that I might damage my chip so if anyone can help me get into this great hobby thanks for your time.

· On the DEVICE line use OSC4MHZ and don't connect the OSC1 or OSC2 pins to anything.
· DEVICE SX28, OSCH4MHZ, TURBO, OPTIONX, STACKX
· FREQ 4_000_000
· If not using the proto boards just remember to put 10K resistor to Vdd (+5V) on the /MCLR pin.
· And a capacitor on the Vdd and Vss pins as close to the SX chip as possible (0.01 to 0.1uF).
Bean.
