PICAXE support?

Is there a way that the software for BASIC stamp can be used to compile and upload code to a PICAXE (8 pin)? I noticed that the PICAXE software had a feature that appears to let you compile & upload to·BS1 chips... I have already used and loved BASIC stamp chips but they are too pricy for me ;however, cheeseburgers aren'tburger.gif

Dang, i wish I would've gotten to this post a bit earlier, I just ordered a picaxe starter kit + another chip. Either way, the chips I already ordered will get the job done for what I need, I'm not building anything that needs fast calculations like a robot.

PBASIC (Parallax BASIC) is available only on Parallax BASIC Stamps. Take care.
